Mary E. (Burke) Preble-Lints, age 97, of Prescott Valley, Ariz., formerly of Weymouth and Quincy, died peacefully, Tuesday, July 22, 2014, at the Good Samaritan Prescott Valley Nursing Home. Mary was born in Boston, raised and educated in Roxbury schools. She had lived in Arizona since 2001, previously living in Weymouth for seventeen years and earlier living most of her life in Quincy. She employed as a waitress and worked at the original Fox and Hound Restaurant in Quincy, the former Coral Gables in Weymouth and twenty years at Alfredos Restaurant in Quincy before retiring in 1975. As a young woman, Mary worked at the former Raytheon Company in Quincy. Beloved wife of the late Paul D. Swisher Lints, she was the devoted mother of Joan M. Tausevich and her husband Wally of Quincy and Stuart, Fla., and Daniel A. Preble, Jr. and Denise of Arizona; loving grandmother of Mark Tausevich of Plymouth, Dawn OToole and her husband David of Waterbury, Vt., Scott Tausevich and his wife Debbie of Norton, David Tausevich of Boston, Emily Harrell and her husband Radford of Savannah, Ga., Karen Magill and her husband Ray of Decatur, Ga., Craig Wade and his wife Deborah of Apex, N.C. Mary was the cherished great-grandmother of eight. One of four siblings, Mary was predeceased by Dorothy L. Mullen, Thomas F. Burke and Rita V. Burke. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral was from the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Avenue, Quincy, Tuesday, July 29, at 9 a.m. Funeral Mass in Saint John the Baptist Church, 44 School St., Quincy, at 10 oclock. Visiting hours were at the funeral home Monday 4-7 p.m. Interment Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
