Edward Sullivan Obituary

Edward C. "Ed" Sullivan Jr. of Weymouth passed away March 9, 2013. Growing up in Charlestown, Ed moved to Weymouth where he made his home for over 40 years. Ed was a strong and devoted husband, who took special care of his wife throughout her illness. He leaves behind all those who's lives he had touched. He will be sadly missed. He was predeceased by the love of his life, Catherine A. (Manning). He was the devoted brother of Barbara Smith of Saugus, Francis Sullivan of Weymouth, Ellen Griffin of Weymouth and the late Mary, John, and Paul; loving uncle of many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Saturday 1-3 p.m. in the McDonald Funeral Home, at 3 Charles St. (corner of Charles and Middle Streets), East Weymouth. Funeral service will be celebrated Saturday at 3 p.m. in McDonald Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Ed may be made to Care Alternative Hospice, 181 Cedar Hill St., Marlborough, MA 01752. The membership of the South Shore Genealogical Society wish to extent their sympathy to the family of Ed Sullivan. Ed was along time member, a former president, and a director and was an integral part of our society during its formative years. Ed's devotion to his wife was admired by all. May he rest in peace.
