Obituary Condolences

Gerald F. (Jerry) Regan of Winchester, died peacefully on March 21, 2014 surrounded by loving family and dear friends. He was the loving and devoted husband of Christy (Radzevich) with w hom he shared 25 years of marriage and his daughter Kathlyn, whom he loved to the moon and back. Jerry is preceeded in his death by his parents, the late Joseph and Doris Regan of Malden and four siblings, Leonora, Marion, Mally, and Joseph Regan. He is survived by his brother in law, Robert Dooley of Melrose, and leaves many nieces and ephews. Jerry was also loved and supported by his loving and extended family, including in laws, Robert and Dorothy Radzevich, Rob Radzevich and his wife Kathleen, and three nieces and nephews, Lauren, Lindsey and Brett Radzevich, all of Pittsburgh. He is also survived by his loving caregiver, Denise Russo of Winchester. Jerry was known for his infectious sense of humor, intelligence, creativity and gentlemanly grace. Coming from humble beginnings, Jerry became a partner in DMC Services of Chelsea, MA which provided energy audits and home conservation services through utility companies in over 40 states. The company eventually became a subsidiary of Honeywell, Inc. He then went on to forge a second career, thoroughly enjoying renovating local Boston area homes with character and fine craftsmanship. Jerry was a member of the United States Navy (Seabees), a passionate golfer and member and past director of the Winchester Country Club, He was an avid reader, sailor, and had a lifelong love of always learning something new. He loved his friends with a deep and true loyalty, and they, in turn, loved him just as much. Jerry also bravely and willingly participated in the Brigham and Womens research program to find a cure for Alzheimers for almost 10 years. Visiting hours will be held from 4 | 8 at the Lane Funeral Home, 760 Main Street, Winchester, MA 01890 on Wednesday, March 26th. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Marys Church, 180 Washington Street, Winchester, MA at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Gerald Regan Charitable Fund, P.O. box 562, Winchester, MA 01890, which will help fund research and advocate for the care of Alzheimers patients and their families.
