Leslie Carr Obituary
Leslie C. (Haddock) Carr, 63, of Clinton, a former long-time resident of Tewksbury and Medford, died Monday, March 24, 2014 in her home, after an illness. Her husband of 40 years, Joseph M. Carr, died in 2012. She is survived by her four children: Michelle A. Harris and her husband, Lance, of Sterling, BethAnne Morin and her husband, Jeffrey, of Omaha, Nebraska, Joseph F. Carr of Lowell, and David R. Carr and his wife, Erika, of Leominster; five grandchildren: Kayla Morin, Jackson Harris, Sara Harris, Ryan Carr, and Evan Carr; her mother, Lucille (Jean) Haddock of Melrose; a brother, Leroy Haddock and his wife, Deborah, of Bradford; five sisters: Lorraine Leahy and her husband, Jack, of Bradford, Luann Haddock and her husband, Eddie Colindres, of Melrose, Linda Kight and her husband, Jerry, of Roseburg, Oregon, Laurie Haddock and her companion, Rich Nusbaum, of Acton, and Lisa Palermo and her husband, David, of Stoneham; many nieces, nephews and friends. Leslie was born and raised in Medford, son of the late Leroy Haddock. She was a graduate of Girls Catholic High School, Malden, and the former Boston City Hospital School of Nursing. For 18 years, she worked as an Operating Room Nurse at Brigham & Womens Hospital, Boston, and later, at Saints Memorial Hospital, Lowell, for nearly 20 years before her retirement. She was a former member of the Medford Rotary Club, enjoyed sewing, playing cribbage, and spending time with her grandchildren. A consummate care-giver, Leslie devoted her life to her family. Leslies funeral will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2014 from the McNally & Watson Funeral Home, 304 Church St., Clinton, with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. John the Evangelist Church, 80 Union St., Clinton. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Sterling.
