Obituary Condolences

Barbara W. (Wallace) Cunningham 82, of Franklin, died peacefully, Wednesday September 4, 2013 at the Maples Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, following an illness. She was the wife of the late Paul Cunningham who died in 1998. Born in Boston on June 29, 1931 a daughter of the late Peter J. and Mary (Connolly) Wallace, she was a resident of Dedham before moving to Franklin in 1959. She was raised and educated in Boston, where she was a graduate of West Roxbury High School and until her retirement, she worked as a teller for the Middlesex Savings Bank in Holliston. She also worked for the former Iandoli's Supermarket in Milford. Barbara was an active member and volunteer for St. Brendan's Parish in Bellingham, where she assisted with numerous programs, she volunteered for the Franklin, Bellingham and Medway Senior Centers, and treasured time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren, reading, watching movies and being at Brant Rock in Marshfield. She is survived by her children; Paul J. Cunningham and his wife Jacqueline of Upton, Mary E. Smith and her husband Don of Millis and Christene A. Huang and her husband Jim of Dover, 3 brothers; Peter J. Wallace, Jr. of Dedham, Peter Navis of Walpole, John Mulkerrin of Woburn, 4 sisters; Mary A. McDonagh of Quincy, Mary V. Cormier of New Hampshire, Kathleen A. Lannon of Millis and Margaret Ciavola of Franklin. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Joshua M. Cunningham, Nicole R. Huang, Laura M. Cunningham, Melissa A. Huang, Lucas M. Smith and Patrick H. Smith. She was the sister of the late Michael J. Wallace. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Monday Sept. 9th, at 9AM from the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. Franklin, with a funeral Mass in St. Brendan Parish 384 Hartford Ave. Bellingham, MA 02019 at 10AM. Interment will follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Millis. Calling hours are Sunday Sept. 8th from 3-6PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be sent to Sons of Mary 567 Salem End Rd.
