Helen Glencross, 95, of Franklin, formerly of East Walpole and Norfolk, passed on October 27, 2013 in the Kindred Transitional Care & Rehabilitation Center, Franklin. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard Glencross, Sr. Born in Attleboro on August 23, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Mary Vetter. Helen was educated in Attleboro schools and was a graduate of Attleboro High School. She served her country proudly in London as a nurse in the United States Army during World War II. She later worked as a nurse in the VA Medical Center in West Roxbury for many years prior to retirement. Helen enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Helen is survived by her children; Carol DeSantis of Mansfield, Richard Glencross, Jr. of Norwood, Mary Flaherty of Norwood, Susan Connolly of Wrentham, and Robert Glencross of Norfolk. Also survived by eleven grandchildren and a great granddaughter. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the RJ Ross Funeral Home, 135 South Street, Route 1A, Wrentham Centre, MA, on Friday from 5-7 PM. Her funeral will be held on Saturday at 10 AM in the Union Congregational Church, 55 Rhoades Avenue, East Walpole. Burial will be private.
