Frank N. Watson Obituary
Frank Norwood Watson of South Yarmouth passed away peacefully at his home on Old Main St on Aug. 19th, 2017. In his 89 Years, he served as a captain in the US Air Force, a Presbyterian Pastor, a University English Professor, and a real estate agent. He and his wife of 67 years, Cara Caldwell Watson, were the parents of five children. He was predeceased by his daughter, Sara, and is survived by his wife, four children; Christopher, Peter, Mimi, and Wendy, two grandchildren; Alexandra and Samuel, and two great-grandchildren; Samuel and Stella. He planted deep roots into this community when he relocated here in 2001. He was a working member of the Dennis Union Congregational Church, one of the founding donors to the New Cultural Center in S. Yarmouth, was active in the Historical Society of Old Yarmouth. A great lover of books and a believer in the power of stories, he served as trustee to the S. Yarmouth Library Association, was an active member of the local chapter of the Great Books Club for many years, and ran the local mens book club until a week before his death. His life will be celebrated at St. Davids Episcopal Churchs Nelson Hall on Old Main St in S. Yarmouth on Nov. 4th at 2 P.M. Friends and associates are invited to pay their respects and relive fond memories of the time spent with him on his journey. In place of flowers, friends are invited to make donations to the S.
