Alma Burgess

ANNANDALE, Va. — Alma Lee Vipperman Bevins Burgess, 83, of Annandale, Va., passed away Thurs., Dec. 5, 2013, at Golden Living Center.

Born Nov. 13, 1930, at Belfry Ky., she was a daughter of the late Okey and Rosetta Vipperman. Also preceding her in death were two sisters, JoAnn (Bunkie) Clark and Jeanette Farley, and her husband, Richard Burgess.

Survivors include two daughters, Shirley (Randle) Anselmi and Dreama (Wayne) Morefield; one son, Rickie (Lyndella) Bevins; two sisters, Nancy Marchant and Phyllis DiMauro; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, and her good friend, Virginia Ralston.

Alma was a loving wife, mother and grandmother whose primary goal in life was the happiness of her family.

Graveside services will be conducted at a later time at Arlington National Cemetery in Washington DC.
