GILBERT, W.Va. — Betty Sue (Williams) Francis, 86, of Gilbert, died February 23, 2014, at her residence.
Born December 17, 1927, at Chattaroy, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Mable (Corum) Williams. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Clinton Francis and brothers, Bill, Ralph and Jack Williams.
Betty owned and operated Francis Grocery and Ashland Oil on Horsepen Creek, opening in 1960, and for a number of years after, then she retired. She loved to garden, and take care of her dogs, she especially loved her azalea bushes.
Survivors left to cherish her memories include daughters, Lisa (Michael) Caldwell and Pam Francis, both of Gilbert; sons, Mark (Kelly) Francis of South Williamson, Ky., and Mike (Diana) Francis of Gilbert; grandchildren, Derrick Hall of Gilbert, (Resided with her), Sabrina (Billy) Manuel of Hurricane, W.Va., Amy Francis 0f Terre Haute, Ind., Michael and Makala Caldwell of Gilbert, Joe Francis of South Williamson, Ky.; great-grandchildren, Stockton Crowe of Terre Haute, Branson Manuel of Hurricane; sisters, Helen Fouch of Slaters Branch, Ky., Shirley Newell of Columbus, Ohio, Joyce Maynard of Turkey Creek, Ky.; brothers, Marvin Williams of Slater branch, Danny Williams 0f Somerset, Ky., Charles Williams of McDowell, Ky., and a host of other family and friends who loved her dearly.
Friends may gather with the family Wednesday, February 26, 2014, from 6 to 9 .m., at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m., Thursday, February 27, 2014, at Mounts Funeral Home, with Evangelist Billy Manuel officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain View Memory Gardens, Huddy, Ky.
Pallbearers will be Gerald Cline, Steven Smith, Harry Grimmett, Mickey Christian, Enos Hatfield, Glen Fields, David Carter and David Browning Honorary Pallbearers: Conrad Cline, Bobby Shaffer and Jessie "Bazz" Blankenship
