WHITE PINE, Tenn. — Conal Lee Stanley, 64, of White Pine, Tenn., formerly of Sidney, Ky., entered into eternal rest Wed., April 9, 2014, in Morristown, Tenn.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenner and Eleanor Grace Stanley, and one brother, Darrell Eddie Stanley.
Conal was a retired coal miner from Consolidated Mining at Sidney and a member of the UMWA. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He will be sadly missed, but our loss is Heaven's gain.
Conal leaves behind his devoted wife of 44 years, Mari Edmiston Stanley; two sons, Carl Lee Stanley of White Pine and Danny Joe (Robiyn) Stanley of Rockhouse, Ky.; three grandsons, Joey Duty Stanley and John Duty Stanley, both of Hardy, Ky., and Thomas Alexander Stanley of Pikeville, Ky.; one granddaughter, Rebecca Madison Stanley of Pikeville; three loving sisters, Lois Jean (Greg) Walker of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Barbara (Joe) Adkins of Pikeville, and Brenda (Billy) Pinson of Sidney; a loving brother, James Ken (Patty) Stanley of Canada, Ky., and a host of family and friends to mourn his passing.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Sat., April 12, at R.E. Rogers Funeral Home Chapel with Conal's Pastor of several years, Brother Gary Blackburn, and Darrin May officiating. Burial will follow in the Pinson Cemetery at Sidney with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel with special services at 7 p.m.
