THACKER, W.Va. — Loney Hatfield, 75, of Thacker, passed away Mon., March 17, 2014, at Charleston Area Medical Center in Charleston.
Born October 11, 1938, at Pikeville, Ky., she was a daughter of the late Fonso and Oma Blankenship. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Edward "Bob" Hatfield; one son, Steve Hatfield; three brothers, Danny K., J.C., and Bobby Gene Blankenship, and a loving sister-in-law, Nancy Blankenship.
Loney was a homemaker and attended the Faith Mission Church in Jesus' Name at McCarr, Ky.
Survivors include her children: Michael (Sherry) Hatfield of Morristown, Tenn., Susan (Jake) McCoy of Ironton, Ohio, Elizabeth (Mike) Beach and Priscilla (James) Blevins, both of Lexington, Ky., and Tina (Jasher) Norman of Freeburn, Ky.; two brothers, Harold Blankenship of Illinois and Kenneth Blankenship of Thacker; three sisters, Phyllis (Herbert) Glissendorf of Illinois, Iris Lee (Red) Daniels of Thacker, and Della Ray (Roy) Browning of Hardy, Ky.; her grandchildren, Edward Ray Hatfield, Penny Chaffins, Joshua McCoy, Kristy Dawn Hatfield, Daniel Hatfield, Valerie Norman, and Gabrielle Blevins, and a host of great-grandchildren and friends.
Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sat., March 22, at Hatfield Funeral Chapel with Bro. Jimmy Fields officiating. Burial will follow in the Family Cemetery at No. 2 Hollow at Thacker with family and friends as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Thursday and Friday at the funeral home with special singing at 7 p.m. Thursday evening and services at 7 p.m. Friday evening.
