ELK CREEK, W.Va. — Minta White, 88, of Elk Creek, went home to be with the Lord March 16, 2014, at the Williamson Memorial Hospital.
She was born Dec. 11, 1925, at Delbarton, W.Va., the daughter of the late Floyd Sr. and Dorothy Gore Marcum. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Wilburn White; brothers, William Marcum Sr. and Clifford Marcum; sisters, Ocatvia Kirk, Jane Nolan and Dicie Ferrell.
Minta was a homemaker and of the Church of God Faith.
Her survivors include her loving son, Rodney White of Elk Creek; brothers, Floyd Marcum Jr. of Proctorville, Ohio, Carl Gordon and Ferrell Miller of Florida, Bill Marcum Jr. of Arizona; sisters, Dottie Jean Head of Proctorville, Ohio, and Connie Smith of Portsmouth, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held at the Chafin Funeral Home Chapel, Thursday, March 20, 2014, at 11 a.m., with Rev. Dallas Rife officiating. Burial will follow in the White Cemetery at Elk Creek.
Visitation will be at the Funeral Home Chapel Wednesday evening from 6-9 p.m.
