WILLIAMSON, W.Va. — John Cleveland "Peve" Phillips, 68 of Williamson, passed away Sun., Jan. 12, 2014, at the Pikeville Medical Center.
Born Jan. 27, 1945, in Williamson, he was a son of the late Maynard Phillips and Mary Maynard Phillips Brown. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Mary Ellen Phillips.
Peve was a retired engineer with the railroad and a member of Williamson Moose Lodge No. 1613, Williamson Elks Lodge No. 1408 and the Slaters Branch Church of Christ.
Survivors include his loving children, John M. (Lisa) Phillips of Burlington, Ky., Tabitha Phillips of Barboursville, and Amy Phillips Elliott of Loris, S.C.; sister, Brenda Phillips Hall of Lexington, Ky.; grandchildren, Ian (Aimee) Phillips, Matthew Phillips, Jordan Phillips, Blake Phillips, Nikki Phillips and Grayson Elliott; nephew, Jason (Kayla) Norman of Lexington; great-nephew, Braxton Norman, and great-nieces, Jacee and Bristol Norman, and a host of other loving friends.
There will not be any services, per his request he will be cremated.
