Paul Blevins

TURKEY CREEK, Ky. — Paul Blevins Sr., 87, of Turkey Creek, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday; December 8, 2013, after a lingering illness.

Born February 1, 1926, in Mingo County, W.Va., he was a son of the late Eli and Mary Jenkins Blevins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson Joseph Daniel Fornash; three brothers,

Carl, Warren, and Clifford Blevins; and two sisters, Hazel and Pauline Blevins.

He was a faithful member of the Pentecostal Tabernacle in Jesus' Name at Edgarton, W.Va. for many years and

he loved the Lord with all of his heart. He was a retired employee of Republic Steel in Canton, Ohio,

where he worked for 39 years. Additionally, he was a veteran having served in World War II as a member of

the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years Nellie Jude Blevins of Turkey Creek; daughter Faye (John)

Lowery of Marietta, Ohio; three sons Paul (Bonnie) Blevins Jr. of Turkey Creek, Ralph (Laura) Blevins

of Davenport, Fla., and Joseph (Debbie) Blevins of Canton, Ohio; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren

and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday; December 11, 2013, at 11 a.m., from the Pentecostal

Tabernacle in Jesus' Name at Edgarton, with Rev. Ronnie Wolford officiating.

Burial will follow in the Maynard-Jude Cemetery in Martin County, Ky., with Josh Blevins, Mark Copley, and other family and friends serving as pallbearers. Military honors will be given by the DAV Chapter 141 of Belfry, Ky.

Visitation will be after 6 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at the Pentecostal Tabernacle in Jesus' Name at

Edgarton, with special services nightly at 7 p.m.
