DUNLOW, W.Va. — Ethel Hall Curry, 87, of Dunlow, went home to be with the Lord Wed., July 9 2014, at her home.
Ethel was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt. She will be sadly missed by all whose lives she touched.
Born April 29, 1927, at Ragland, she was a daughter of the late William and Goldie Slone Hall. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Elmer Curry; sons, Roger Lee Curry and David Russell Curry; brother, Garland Hall, and sister, Wilma Ooten.
Ethel was a member of the Genoa Church of Christ. She was a homemaker, gardener and quilter.
Those left behind to cherish her memories include her sons, Kenneth William (Virginia) Curry of Maryland, and John C. (Polly) Curry of Dunlow; daughter, Doris Jean (Butch) Layne of Delbarton; brothers, Amos Hall of Delbarton, Steve Hall of Radnor, Jimmy Hall of Dunlow and Roland Hall of Michigan; sisters, Essie Duty of Dunlow, Lorene Webb of Delbarton, Brenda Rife of Cleveland, and Linda Bananno of Ohio; grandchildren, Brian, John David, Jeffrey, Stephanie, Christopher, David Elmer Ray and Shawn Michael Lee, and10 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sun., July 13, at Chafin Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Jesse Spaulding officiating. Burial will follow in the Curry Cemetery at Delbarton.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Saturday evening at the funeral home with services starting at 7 p.m.
Grandsons and nephews will serve as pallbearers.
