McCARR, Ky. — Frances "Sugar" Hatfield, 66, of McCarr, Ky., passed away Sat., May 3, 2014, at Pikeville Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.

Born Sept. 6, 1947, in Michigan, she was a daughter of the late Noah Newsome and Meldia Blackburn May. She was also preceded in death by her son, Stephen Douglas Hatfield.

She was a longtime manager at Hardee's in South Williamson and a homemaker. She loved to quilt and loved attending church when she was able. She was most proud of being a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her husband of fifty-one and a half loving years, Billy Ray Hatfield; daughters, Sherri Lynne Hatfield Coleman of McCarr, and Bobbi Jo (Kevin) Lackey of North Carolina; grandchildren, Mark (Caitlin) Hatfield, Matthew Coleman, Caleb Dakota Lackey and Zack Hall, and great-grandchild, Paityn Ray Hatfield and another great-grandchild on the way.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wed., May 7, at R.E. Rogers Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bob Norman officiating.

Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
