VARNEY, W.Va. — Walter M. "Mouse" Cooper, 57, of Varney, passed away Fri., Jan. 10, 2014, at the Williamson Memorial Hospital.

Born June 3, 1956, at Williamson, he was a son of the late Michael Cooper and is survived by his mother, Helen J. Varney.

Mouse was also preceded in death by his step-father, Fred Pigman; grandparents, Walter and Maude Stumbo and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Cooper; sister, Lisa Varney, and brother, Phillip Hickman.

Mouse was a former coal miner and currently employed by the Southside Mall. He was a graduate of Burch High School with the class of 1974. He was a fun loving, free spirited man and loved many people. He especially loved his dear friends, Reagan Ferrell and Randy and Pat Mills.

In addition to his mother, Helen J. Varney, he is survived by his step-mother, Louise Pigman; sons, Michael Dwayne (Brittany) Cooper, Dalton Cooper and Thomas Mahon; daughters, Serena (Robert) Fowler and Kimberly (Troy) Jarrell; grandchildren, Zachary Fowler, Kane Mahon, Mason and Sierra Conley and Kinley Cooper; brother, Michael Pigman, and sisters, Diann (Everett) Hannah, Teresa (Larry) Miranda, Anita Cooper and Jacqueline Whitt. Special friends to numerous to mention but never forgotten, Diana Curry who could always be called on.

Services will be held at Chafin Funeral Home Chapel Mon., Jan. 13, at 1 p.m. with Rev. Mitchell Bias officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. View Memory Gardens at Huddy, Ky.

Visitation will be Sunday evening from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home with services starting at 7 p.m. with Bro. Mike Varju officiating.

Pallbearers will be Michael Pigman, Randy Mills, Dustin Wicker, Everett Hannah, Larry Miranda, Jim Worley and Billy and Art McCoy.
