INVERNESS, Fla. — Donald R. Dutton, 78, of Inverness, died Friday, March 7, 2014, at his home under the loving care of his family and Hospice of Citrus County.

Donald was born November 26, 1935, in Boons Camp, Ky., the son of Bill and Gypsie Dutton.

He served in the U.S. Navy. Donald retired from General Motors, where he worked as an electrician. He moved from Kokomo, Ind. to Summerfield, Fla., then recently to Inverness. Donald loved golf and fishing.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, C. Loroli Dutton; two daughters, Marcy Ann Dutton-Roberts (Tim), Kokomo, Ind., and Renea Marie Vaughn (Greg Shank) of Liberty, W.Va.; grandson, Nathaniel Evan Dutton; brothers, Panzal Lee Dutton of Xenia, Ohio, and Raymond Gregory Dutton of Dayton, Ohio.

There will be a celebration of life for Mr. Dutton from 2 to 4 p.m., Thursday, March 13, 2014, at the Heinz Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Citrus County.
