WILLIAMSON, W.Va. — Wanda Joyce Canterbury, 56, of Williamson, passed away Wed., July 9, 2014, at Williamson Memorial Hospital.
Born Feb. 9, 1958, in Mingo County, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Eloise Chapman King. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Richard Canterbury, and a sister Sandy King.
Wanda was a cook at the former Smokehouse Restaurant in Williamson and a homemaker.
Survivors include two sons, Tommy (Janaya) Canterbury of Delbarton and Richard Canterbury of Williamson; one daughter, Maggie (Dan) Utholm of Stockholm, Sweden; four brothers, Michael King of Inez, Ky., Dougie King of Pike County, Ky., Russell King of Chattaroy, and Ronnie King, address unknown; one sister, Deborah Canterbury of Williamson; her grandchildren, Austin, Jessica, Gregory, Cassady, Izabella, Talan, Maddox, Sarah and Mikela.
Services will be conducted at noon Fri., July 11, at Hatfield Funeral Chapel with Bro. Earsel Ray Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Chapman Cemetery at Chapman Hollow, Canada, Ky., with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
