DELBARTON, W.Va. — Billy Ray Peck, 62, of Delbarton, went to be with his Lord Sat., Aug. 16, 2014 while a patient at the Pikeville Medical Center.
Born Sept. 22, 1951, at South Williamson, Ky., he was a son of the late Ballard and Marie Clark Peck. He was also preceded in death by an infant child; brothers, Robert Protuck and Kenneth Peck, and a sister, Betty Protuck Erwin.
Bill was a member and Elder of the Kingdom Harvest Church at Lenore. He was a man of great faith. He loved God, his family and his friends unconditionally. He always told them "I love you greatly". Bill worked nearly all his life in the coal mines, nearly 43 years.
Those left behind to cherish his memories include his wife Ava Jean Deeley Peck; children, Billy James Peck of Delbarton, Rebecca (Brad) Collins, Shannon Peck and Gina Peck all of Delbarton; a special friend whom he considered his son, Johnathan Mace; brother, John (June) Peck of Delbarton; sister, Margaret (Dennis) Smith of New Castle, Va.;, grandchildren, Kamryn and Brad Collins and Daegan Peck and a host of nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wed., Aug. 20, at Kingdom Harvest Church at Lenore with Revs. Tommy Canterbury Sr., Tommy Canterbury Jr., and Will Compton officiating. Burial will follow in the Protuck-Peck Cemetery at Lando.
Visitation will begin after 6 p.m. Tuesday evening at the church with services starting at 7 p.m. Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
