CHAPMANVILLE, W.Va. — Derick Mullins, 24, of Chapmanville, departed this life Saturday, July 27, 2013, at Logan Regional Medical Center.
Born April 13, 1989, in Detroit, Mich., he was a son of Alta Mullins, Nim Moore (stepfather) and his daddy Ralph Adams (Karen Kinser) and his momma Nancy Adams.
Preceding him in death was his grandmother, Ella Marie Mullins, and his aunt, Shelia Mullins.
Derick enjoyed life; he had big dreams and high hopes. He loved riding dirt bikes, and enjoyed spending time with his family.
Additionally, those left to cherish his memory include his fiancée, Stephanie Webb; one daughter, Baylee Nicole Mullins; one son, Colton Shane Mullins; six sisters, Elizabeth Bryant, Rhonda (Dwayne) Dingess, Lorrie Adams (Keith Dingess), Tonya (Joe) Butcher, Morgan Kinser and Monica Kinser, all of Chapmanville; four brothers, Scottie (Jessica) Mullins of Jacksonville, Fla., and Colin Adams, Erik Mullins and Danny Dale Bryant, all of Chapmanville; four nephews, Cody Dingess, Adam Dingess, Larry Butcher and Keedin Dingess, all of Chapmanville; three nieces, Suella Mullins of Jacksonville, Kaytlyn Powell of Granite Falls, N.C., and Summer Butcher of Chapmanville, and a host of cousins, friends and family.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, August 2, at Freeman Funeral Home with Barney Goins and Earl Hileman officiating. Burial will follow at United as One Family Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be friends and family.
