BEECH CREEK, W.Va. — Thomas Edward "Tommy" Estepp, 69, of Beech Creek, passed away suddenly Tues., Jan. 14, 2014, at his home.
Born Nov. 9, 1944, in Mingo County, he was a son of the late Wheeler and Ruby Mae Combs Estepp Sr. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Roger Estepp.
In addition to being a loving husband, father, and grandfather; Tommy was a retired coal miner and electrician from Tall Timber Coal Company, and a member and minister of the gospel at the Ben Creek Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Nelma Ruth Blankenship Estepp; two sons Eddie Dale Estepp (Crystal Jones) and E. Steven (Donna) Estepp, both of Beech Creek; one daughter, Brittany Estepp (Damien Williamson) of Beech Creek; five brothers, Wheeler (Liz) Estepp Jr. of Morgantown, Fred (Vanessa) Estepp, Ricky (April) Estepp, and Johnny (Linda) Estepp, all of North Matewan, and Michael (Patsy) Estepp of McCarr, Ky.; three sisters, Helen (Lewis) Woody and Ollie Ruth (Frank) Jackson, both of Deltona, Fla., and Doris (James) Mahon of Beech Creek; his grandchildren, J.T. (Marie) Estepp, Chris Estepp, Jarrod Estepp, Austin Estepp, Vanna and Nicole Jones, and Calvin "Little Man" Scales, and his special friends, Rocky and Teresa Hatfield of Pigeon Creek. Also surviving is a host of nieces, nephews, other family, friends, and his brothers and sisters in Christ.
Services will be conducted at noon Sat., Jan. 18, at Ben Creek Church of Christ with Rocky Hatfield and Gene Clemons officiating. Burial will follow in the Blankenship Cemetery at Beech Creek with Eddie Dale Estepp, Stevie Estepp, J.T. Estepp, Chris Estepp, Jarrod Estepp, Austin Estepp, and Jeff Carter serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer will be Damian Williamson.
Visitation will begin after 6 p.m. Friday at the church.
