Handlin, Sandra Lorraine (Shannon) - Crystal River  
Sandra Lorraine Handlin, 67, of Crystal River passed away May 15, 2016 surrounded by her loving husband, her three daughters and her oldest brother. Born May 25, 1948 in Miami, she was the eldest daughter of the late Robert B. Shannon Sr. and Virginia A. Shannon. Sandy was an amazingly vibrant woman with a love for animals, her family and friends. She was happiest when her home was filled with music, and the laughter and love of people and animals. Sandy worked as a legal secretary for most of her life on Cape Cod, and enjoyed helping with victim/witness assistance at the Cape and Islands' District Attorney's Office. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Denehy J. Handlin; her daughter, Dawn and her spouse; daughters, Traci and Jaime; and her three grandchildren, Grace, Nathan and Judah. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, May 21 at the Holy Family Catholic Church, 17353 US-27 ALT in Williston. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent in her name to The Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Avenue, 7th floor, New York, New York, 10001 or to The Humane Society of the United States, 2100 L Street, NW, Washington, DC, 20037.

Jones, Cecil James - Williston  
Cecil James Jones, 77, of Williston died Tuesday, May 10, 2016 in the North Florida Regional Medical Center, Gainesville, following a long illness. Mr. Jones was a native of White Pine, Tenn., born July 25, 1938, to the late William T. and Rosa Mae Jones. He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force, and spent his civilian career in law enforcement, retiring from the Tennessee Highway Patrol. Mr. Jones moved to Mexico Beach in 1980, and then moved to Williston in 2002. His very favorite pastime was playing golf, and he attended the First Baptist Church of Williston. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Sharon Sue Jones, of Williston; children, Keith Jones, of Riverton, Wyo., Robert Dale Jones, of Maryville, Tenn.; Jeri Leigh Alfree and Teresa Shular, both of North Reddington Beach and Harry Wade Shular, of Kennesaw, Ga.; one sister, Pat Ward, of Albany, Ga.; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, May 13 in the Chapel of Williams-Thomas Funeral Home Westarea, 823 NW 143rd St., with the Rev. Jason Owenby officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, beginning at noon. Interment will follow with military honors in Orange Hill Cemetery, Williston. Watson II, Jesse T. - Williston  
Jesse T. Watson II, 88, of Williston passed away May 4, 2016 at the Veterans Adminstration Hospital in Gainesville. Born in Tampa, he lived most of his life in Williston. He served in the Army during the Korean War. He was employed by V.E. Whitehurst and Sons until retirement. He attended the Williston Church of Christ. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, gardening and cooking. Best known locally for his outstanding garden, he was an avid Atlanta Braves fan and loved the Florida Gators. He was a "small town, southern man and family was always top priority." Survivors include his wife of over 60 years, Joyce; son, Jesse Tillman (Alice) Watson III; daughters, Tammy (Tony) Bradley, Crystal (Scott) Curl and Jessica (David) Weins; btoer, Cubby (Johnnie) Watson; sister, Ruth Phillips; 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Graveside services were held May 9 at Plummer Cemetery with Pastor Bill Curl officiating. Knauff Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
