William Albert Springer, 82, of Williston passed away June 14, 2013 at the Malcolm Randall Veterans Hospital in Gainesville.
He was born Nov. 24, 1930 in Middletown, N.Y. to Frances and Josephine (Peine) Springer.
He served in the U.S. Army
. He worked as a retail manager for many years. He moved to Williston five years ago from Fruita, Colo. He was of the Presbyterian faith and a member of the Otisville Presbyterian Church in Otisville, N.Y. He was a member of the Elks Club
and the American Legion. He enjoyed fishing, horses, gardening, being outdoors and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Betty Anne Springer; daughter, Holly Anne Springer; brother, Raymond (Flora) Springer; sisters, Marie Orchard, Katherine (Douglas) Dodd and his special nephew, David Sausville.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Frank Springer.
