Chance Carlisle, 33, of Williston, died Jan. 14, 2018 as a result of an automobile accident.
Born and raised in Williston, he graduated from Williston High School in 2003, where he belonged to the Future Farmers of America. Chance was also involved in the High School Rodeo Association. He belonged to the Williston Church of God. He was a farmer and cattleman. He was a member of the Gulf Hammock Hunting Club, as well as Magee Branch Hunting Club. He was an avid hunter. Chance never met a stranger, and would always leave you with a smile. If laughter was a medicine, Chance was an overdose.
His survivors include his daughter, Vallie Kaye Carlisle; girlfriend, Dara and his little piggy, Ava Jo; his parents, J.L. and Janice Carlisle; two brothers, Shaun Carlisle, his wife Kim, and son Gage, and Jamie Carlisle, his wife Nicole, and children Jayci and Maddux; a sister, Jana Carlisle; grandparents, Papa John L. Whilden and Nana Shirley Whilden and a very special sissy, Carmen Whilden Beasley.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Papa Pete Carlisle and Granny Francis Carlisle.
Chance was a beloved young man in our community,. He also leaves a host of relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, Jan. 17 at the Knauff Funeral Home in Williston from 6-8 p.m, followed by a graveside service at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 18 at Plummer Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Knauff Funeral Home - Williston.
