Christopher Thomas Pendray passed away at the age of 48 at his home surrounded by family Wedneday, July 2, 2014.

Chris was born June 25, 1966 and was a life-long resident of Williston, where he took full advantage of the many pleasures that country and farm living have to offer.
He loved his Dodge trucks and was a member of the Sand Slough Hunting Club. Chris liked speed and enjoyed flying through the woods on his four-wheeler, buzzing along the Suwannee River on his jet ski and looked forward to the NHRA races each year. Some of his favorite pastimes were doing crossword puzzles, playing solitaire, watching "Family Matters" and "The Cosby Show" and keep old memories alive by listening to and telling stories from the past.
Chris was passionate about his job and enjoyed everything about driving tractors and farming. Those who will continue to keep the memories of Chris alive include his parents, Alfred and Bonnie Pendray; brother, Brian; sister-in-law, Terri and nephew Clay; aunts and uncles, James (Barbara) Pendray, Edward (Billy Kay) Pendray of Willistonl Joanne Yancey of Oklahoma and Butch (Judy) Smith of Old Town; cousin, John (Tona) Pendray and nephew, Kyle; Kayla Pendray Vanden Berge of Texas.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, John and Shelly Pendray; maternal grandparents, Bonnie I and Isable Smith and aunt Bonita (Bert) Lockwood also of Williston. In addition to numerous cousins and community members who will always be reminded of Chris when they see a bag of peanuts or a tractor in a field.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service and after the service.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service Saturday, July 12 at 7 p.m. at Knauff Funeral Home, 512 E. Noble Ave., Williston. Memorial donations may be gratefully made to Haven Hospice, Chiefland.
