Freddie Washington Martin, 63, passed away peacefully at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville May 3, 2014 after an extended illness.

He was born in Gainesville Aug. 3, 1950. Freddie will be remembered as a great father, grandfather, brother and uncle. Freddie was a life-long resident of Micanopy. He proudly attended his granddaughter's soccer games and his grandson's baseball games. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing and visiting with friends and family.
He is survived by his daughter, Brenda Martin (Ruben) Rios; granddaughter, Dominique Rios; son, David Reibsome and grandson, Brett Reibsome. He leaves behind one brother, Bennie (Peggy) Martin; sisters, Irene Terry, Lois Ann (Lynn) Gay, Elaine (Henry) Keene and Norma Faye (Cleveland) Clark, and numerous nieces, great nieces, nephews, and cousins . He will also be missed by his dear friend ,Suzanne Barrett and his ex-wife, Frances Costine.
The family will receive friends during visitation from 5-7 p.m., Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Graveside services will be at 11a.m., Thursday, May 8 at the Micanopy Historic Cemetery in Micanopy.
