Joy Michelle Thompson, 53, died Oct. 17, 2012 in Snow, Okla.
She was born July 29, 1959 in Oakland, Calif. to the late Donald Leroy and Barbara Ruth (Karr) Thompson.
She enjoyed working puzzles and spending time with her sons, family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, John W. and Georgia M. Pool Karr and a sister, Tena Dale Thompson
She is survived by sons, Donald David Thompson of Snow, Okla. and John Karr Thompson of Ormond Beach; sister, Gay Lynne (John) Langley of Cedar Key; a half-sister of Seattle, Washington; a step-sister of Cedar Key; a half-brother of Seattle, Wash.; step-brother of North Pole, Alaska; nephew, James David (Angela) Ellzey Jr.; great-nephew James Ellzey III; aunt, Johnnie Karr Hairfield of Finley, Okla. and numerous cousins, as well as many other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations to offset funeral expenses be made at Drummond Bank in Cedar Key in her name.
There will be a Celebration of Life for her held at a later date to be announced.
