Kenneth Harrison Curle Jr., 58, of Williston passed away Feb. 1, 2013.
He was born Nov. 1, 1954 in Albany, N.Y. to Kenneth and Elizabeth (Kruse) Curle.
He lived in Buffalo, N.Y., where he attended Hamburg High School and played football for the Hamburg Bull Dogs. Upon graduation Ken joined the United States Navy. He served on the U.S.S. America CV-66. Ken loved the Navy and the many places he traveled to.
Ken loved his family, fly fishing, eagles, birds and nature. He loved to help others. He was never to busy to stop to help someone. Ken moved to Williston in 1995 where he worked at Winn Dixie where in 2001 he received the award for Exceptional Guest Service. Most recently he worked at K-mart in Gainesville.
He is survived by his sisters, Penny Lewis, Nancy Mains; nieces, Bridget A. Boland, Lisa L. Lewis, Tracy Mains Rudd; nephews, James F. Lewis IV and Harry B. Mains Jr., great-nephew, Corbin Boland and great-niece, Hayden Lewis.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Feb. 9 at the First Prespyterian Church in Williston at 11a.m. with the Rev. Dalton Burch officiating. A graveside service will follow at Orange Hill Cemetery at 2 p.m.
Arrangements are under the care of Knauff Funeral Home-Williston.
