Louise Snyder Crabtree, 80, of Crystal River and formerly of Williston died Oct. 12, 2012.
She was born Jan. 2, 1932 in Canal Point to George Washington and Carrie Bell (Thompson) Snyder.
She was a resident of Williston for 62 years and Crystal River for the past two years.
A wife, mother, beautician, and member of First Baptist Church of Williston, she was active in teaching, singing, visiting shut-ins and helping with meals. She enjoyed baking and sharing her cakes with many people she knew. She was also a Pink Lady volunteer with the hospital and a volunteer hair stylist at the nursing home.
She is survived by her son, Brent (Martha) Crabtree; daughters, Brenda (Ed) Geiger, Donna (Marc) Nussel; Lena Crabtree; five grandchildren and three great- grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Robert Lamar Crabtree; son, Larry Crabtree; brother, Cecil Snyder and her twin sister, Lucile Snyder Collins.
Funeral services were held Oct. 15 at First Baptist Church Williston with the Rev.Dr. Dalton Burch and the Rev. Jerry Cottone officiating. Interment followed at the Orange Hill Cemetery in Williston.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Christian Mission Fellowship, P.O. Box 501020, Indianapolis, IN 46250 in support of missionaries to Scotland Tim and Ansley Crabtree or to Hospice of Citrus County of the Nature Coast, PO Box 641270, Beverly Hills, FL 34464.
Arrangements were under the care of Knauff Funeral Home-Williston.
