Michael Mixson Hartley

Obituary

Michael Mixson Hartley, 55, of Fort White passed away peacefully Feb. 27, 2014 at the Haven Hospice Tri-County Care Center in Chiefland after an extended illness.
A graduate of Williston High School, Michael worked at W.W. Gay Mechanical Contractor, Central Motors Supply, Gator Door and Supply, and he was a delivery driver for United Parcel Service. Following a work-related injury, he was a manager at Hartley Motors.
Michael enjoyed carpentry, metal and wood crafts, jewelry making, drawing, gardening, and animal rescue.
He is survived by his wife, Elisa of Fort White; his mother, Mora Mixson Hartley of Williston; his sisters, Georgia Hanssen (Tommy) of Williston, Mora Lee Head (Robert) of Dawsonville, Ga., Janet Stanley of Williston and Susan Webb (Chip) of Williston; his brother, Patrick Hartley of Williston; two sons, Michael Hartley and Jeremy Hartley and a daughter, Rebecca Hartley, and four grandchildren, all of Williston.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lee Patrick Hartley, and his sister, Rebecca Ann Hartley.
