Norman Blake Hollinshead Jr. , 87, of Williston, originally of Beach Haven, N.J., Stuart and Blairsville, Ga., passed away and the Lord took him to Heaven Saturday, July 6, 2013.
Norman was born in Oaklyn, N.J., the son of Gertrude and Norman Hollinshead Sr. He graduated from Collingswood High School. Norman was married to Carol Wernik Hollinshead May 15, 1954 and they enjoyed almost 60 years of marriage.
Norman was in service to United States Army during WWII and the Korean War. He became an electrician after honorable discharge from the Army and continued to grow in this career for the remainder of his life. He was an avid fisherman and boater throughout his life.
Norman and his wife, Carol, worship at Williston Church of God and have done so for 17 years. They have worshipped their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for the bulk of their 60 years together.
Norman is survived by two sons, Norman Blake III and Christian and two daughters, Dale Ruiz and Lauri Lingerfelt, as well as six grandchildren, Ken Milam, Christina Hanner, Jenna Hollinshead Finn, Christine Murray, Michael Ruiz and Chelsea Hollinshead. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Williston Church of God, 850 SW 7th St., Williston Saturday, July 13, beginning at 10 a.m.
