Iris Jones Bremer, 97, passed away peacefully at Shands Hospital, surrounded by her loving family March 24, 2013.
Iris was born in Rexton, Mich. Oct 25, 1915. Iris lived most of her life in Sault Ste Marie, Mich.
She was a labor and delivery nurse for 15 years at War Memorial Hospital in Sault Ste Marie.
Iris moved to Williston with her husband, Henry Bremer in 1980, so they could live near their two sons and their families.
Iris was a member of the Archer Baptist Church in Archer.
She is survived by her two sons, Harold Bremer and James (Paula) Bremer; niece, Gerri (Tom) Jones; grandchildren, Robert (Jennifer) Bremer, Pamela Bremer, Mary (John) Doherty, Dawn (Rob) Bremer, James (Jennifer) Bremer, Jesse (Sarah) Bremer, Mike (Selene) VanBlaricum and Dan (Jana) VanBlaricum; 17 great- grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Iris was preceded in death by her loving husband, Henry Leland Bremer; father, Albert Jones; mother, Hazel (LaBar) Jones; brothers, Vernon Jones and Shirley Jones; sister, Gladys (Jones) Blankenship; daughter-in-law, Bernadette (Vincent) Bremer and her granddaughter, Teresa Lola Bremer.
Graveside services will be held April 27 at 11 a.m. at Orange Hill Cemetery with Pastor Ted Burnell officiating.
Though her smile is gone forever, and her hand we cannot touch, we shall never lose sweet memories of the one we loved so much.
