Cecil James ""Jim"" Hale(1944 - 2014)

Cecil James Hale (Jim Hale), 69, of Willits, California, passed away on Thursday February 20, 2014. Jim was born August 20, 1944 in Flintstone, Georgia. He is survived by wife Monika Hale, Six Children: Christopher Hale, Lilly Hale, Natalie Munos, Steven Munos, Stefanie Lamb, & Veronica Bentz. Brother, Kenneth Hale, Sister Nancy Hale Hall, Mother-in-law Jean DeShong, Brother-in-law David DeShong, Sister-in-law Kim DeShong, numerous nieces, nephews and eight grandchildren. Jim Hale was preceded in death by his loving Mother Mildred C. Hale, Brothers, William A. (Bill) Hale, Donald L. Hale, Leonard F. Hale and Father-in-law Charles S. DeShong.
Jim Hale was an honorable Marine Corp CPL receiving Good Conduct Medal; 1st Award Sharpshooter badge; and M1 National Defense. He was sole proprietor of Austin Colour Studio & had been taking baby & family portraits since 1966; Jim photographed many children in our local pre-schools, elementary schools and Rite Aid Stores throughout Mendocino County. Jim also enjoyed working with Jr. Giants, as a Coach, volunteer and mentor, and was actively involved in the local Little League. Jim Hale donated his time in the local Willits Kid's Club, and in Brookside Elementary classrooms. His gift was helping children within our community.
A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held at The Agape Bible Church located at 290 South Lenore Ave. on Saturday March 8, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. followed by a potluck reception. Everyone including children that would like to attend is welcome; please call Cynthia at (707) 272-7284 after 5 p.m. to coordinate a dish to bring. Children can wear their Jr. Giants or Little League outfits if they like.
