Steven Daniel Lovell
Steven Daniel Lovell, 56 died in an accident June 30, 2013 when a piece of heavy equipment he was using to set up a jump for a dirt bike ran over him in Wasilla, Alaska.
Steve was born August 21, 1956 in Petaluma, California. He attended Yreka High School from 1969-1973, attended Anchorage Community College from 1986-1987 where he served as Student Body President. He moved to Alaska in 1978 and resided in Glenallen and Anchorage until he moved to Wasilla in 1987. Steve was employed by Bishop Trucking from 1978-1985 and was the VP of General Commodities Division. He was the owner of Valley Diesel and Marine for 25 years in Wasilla. Steve was a Golden Eagle NRA member and a member of Montague Methodist Church. He was also a Gold Level Contributor to 4-H, included in Who's Who of American Jr. College Students 1986-87 , and served as a Wasilla City Councilman from October of 2012 until his death. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating and his Harley.
This has been a tragic year for the Lovell family. At the end of May, Steve's son Shanon, who had been missing since October was found in a Palmer area lake. A service for Shanon was scheduled for the end of this month, but under the circumstances, the family has planned a double service for both Steve and Shanon at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, July 9th at the Curtis Menard Sports Complex in Wasilla with Steve's Uncle from Upper Lake, Pastor John Dye officiating. Steve served his country in the United States Army from 1973-1976 and will be commemorated with military honors.

Steve is survived by his Fiancee Jolene Hester of Wasilla, son Clayton Lovell of Willits, daughter Cindy Lovell of Germany, adopted Grandson Cyruss Lovell of Wasilla, Granddaughters Jamie and Emily Lovell of Germany, granddaughters Marissa Lovell of Anchorage, and Genesis Lovell of Wasilla, grandfather, Gordon Lovell of Roseville, grandmother Jayne Harrah, mother Margie Handley, brothers Ron and David Lovell and 10 Nieces and Nephews all of Willits.
