Francis E. "Eddie" Bean passed away on December 16, 2013. Born on March 14, 1926 in DeHaven Creek, California he spent most of his young life in Humboldt County in Weott and Bull Creek. He joined the U.S. Navy in the Seabee's from 1942 to 1946 serving in the South Pacific for his whole tour. He worked in the logging industry and then in the Operating Engineers on heavy equipment.
He is survived by wife Jacquie Goe Bean, son Raymond C. Bean, daughter Sherrie D. Brown, stepdaughters Becki Sibert and Ruth Swenson and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
His greatest enjoyments in life were hunting and fishing, mainly at Shelter Cove. He was an avid Giants and 49ers fan, watching the game on Sunday, December 15.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Bull Creek Cemetery in Weott.
