Shirley was born Shirley Gayle Lewis October 4, 1953 in the Willits hospital to Murle (Smiley) and Betty Lewis. Her brother Rick remembers very fondly the day his baby sister was brought home to his family. Shirley always felt very lucky to grow up in Willits, where people were fun loving and honest and hard working. Her parents taught her love for her fellow man, hard work and honesty were what got you where you wanted to be and go in life. Shirley took this with her when she left home after graduating with the class of 1971 in Willits.
Shirley passed away of
on May 14, 2013 in Grand Junction Co.
Shirley enjoyed many things in life, but her friends and family were her first loves she is preceded in death by her parents and husband James Bradbury. She leaves behind her brother Rick wife Denise of Cobb, her nieces, Missy Lewis, April Lewis and Ed Adams of Willits, Lanie Lewis Hernandez and Roge Hernandez of Willits, Gina Lewis Weese and Nathan Weese of Clearlake, and Emmy Lewis and Niko Steffen of Willits. She leaves 10 great nephews and 8 great nieces and numerous loving friends behind.
Shirley will be laid to rest in the Willits Cemetery on June 22 at 1 pm. Friends and family are invited to the small memorial service at this time to share great memories and smiles to celebrate her life.
