Stanley William Hulett
Stanely Hulett, 74, passed away peacefully July 1, 2013 in Napa, CA. with his loving wife, Mary Ann at his side. Stan was born in San Francisco to the late Isabel and Leo Hulett. He attended Willits High School, Menlo College and Stanford University.
Stan spent 10 years in the lumber industry before going to Washington, D.C. as a legislative assistant to a member of Congress. He later served an Associate Director of the National Park Service and Deputy Director of Interior's BOR. After government service, he was VP of the American Paper Institute in D.C. and Executive VP of CA Forest Protective Association in Sacramento, CA.
Returning to government after the election of President Reagan, Stan served the Department of Interior as Assistant to the Secretary and Director of Congressional and legislative affairs. He returned to CA to serve as a field representative for the Interior Department and later for the Department of Energy.
Stan was appointed to the CPUC by Governor Deukmejian, where he served as President for 2 years. He was also a member of CTC.
Preceded in death by his son Gregory, he is survived by Mary Ann, his wife of 45yrs. and loving sister-in law, niece and nephews.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, July 25, 2013, at 11AM at St. Apollinaris Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the .
