Mary and Glenn Crampton passed away within days of each other in Ukiah with their loved ones by their sides.
Glenn was born to Frederick and Mae Crampton in Helena, Montana, and grew up on a ranch called Smallhorn near Dillon. Mary was born to William and Sarah Colson and spent her childhood on a ranch near Dubois, Idaho.
They married and moved to Red Bluff, California in 1937, where he owned a business for many years. In retirement, he and Mary moved back to Dillon and Smallhorn and eventually to Willits.
They recently celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary.
They are survived by three daughters: Jean More (Warren), Judy Bowman, and Jan Upton (John); six grandchildren: Nicholas More (Teresa), Mary More, Anthony More (Jezra), Jonathan Bowman, Samuel Upton (Chatnaree), and Andrew Upton; and two great-grandchildren: Adalin and Evan More. Also surviving are many fond nieces, nephews and cousins.
Their sisters and brothers, including Doris Winans, William Crampton, Leah Tavener, and Martha Foster, preceded them in death.
Glenn was a cowboy, a musician, and an ardent outdoorsman. Mary was a lifelong artist, nature lover, and nurturing wife and mother. They were devoted to each other, rich in family and faith, and they will be dearly missed by their family.
At their request, there will be no services.
