Marilyn Lee (Larrabee) Petty

Marilyn fought a long courageous battle with cancer she passed away peacefully in her home in Meridian, Idaho surrounded by her family on Feb. 19, 2013.

Marilyn was born March 9, 1945 to Thelma Faye (Ellis) and Irvin Larrabee. She was borne, raised and schooled in Willows. On Feb. 14, 1965 she married David Petty of Princeton.

Marilyn was a very successful entrepreneur, Seed Administrator for Simplot and Personnel Manager/Bookkeeper for several prominent businesses in California and Idaho retiring in 2010. She was involved in several non-profit organizations in California and Boise. Her joy came from spending time with her family, friends, and her church community.

She is survived by her husband, David; son, Cory his wife Kim, grandchildren, Jessica and Joe all of Idaho; step-mother, Virginia George; sisters, Marie Juney (Mike), Georgia Larrabee; aunt, Anna Green all of Willows; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral mass was celebrated in Idaho. Internment will be in Willows beginning at St. Monica's Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. on March 26, 2013 then proceed to the Willows Cemetery. A lunch reception will immediately follow at St. Monica's Parish Hall.

She was preceded in death by her mother in 1947; father in 1966; and sister Evelyn Hayward in 2010.
