Gordon Hoober, 80

Gordon P. Hoober, 80, of Lynn, passed away Friday, July 25, 2014 in Richmond.
He was born March 13, 1934 in Delaware County to the late Kenneth and Oneda Mosier He was a US Army veteran. Gordon farmed all of his life and was retired from Harvestland CO-OP. He attended New Liberty Christian Church near Lynn.
He will be missed by his wife, the former Mary Fraze, to whom he was married November 29, 1953; daughters, Lois Moland and Lora Simmons and her husband, Donnie; grandchildren, Lisha Moland and Jarrod Fisher; step-grandson, Chris Simmons; great-grandchildren, Dillion McAbee and Kameron Fugiatt; sisters, Florence Weist, Peg LeVault, Joyce Bagwell and Jackie Kincaid; brothers, Mike Hoober, Terry Hoober and Tim Hoober; and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral services are 1 p.m. Wednesday at Smith & McQuiston Funeral Home, 321 US 27 South, Fountain City with Ray Ellis and Dale Bales officiating. Interment with military rites will follow at Mooreland Cemetery in Henry County.
