Linda Sue (Nelson) Johnson, 52, of Union City, Ind., passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at Reid Hospital, Richmond.
She was born February 10, 1960 in Union City, Ind., to the late William E. and Beatrice E. (Claire) Nelson. She was a 1978 graduate of Mississinewa Valley High School.
Linda, a homemaker, had worked as a waitress at Cheryl's Truck Stop. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagle where she served in the Ladies Auxiliary.
She leaves to cherish her memory a loving husband, Tommy Johnson of Union City, Ind.; a son, Travis Lee Collier of New Castle; a daughter, Katrina Marie Mathews of Union City, Ind.; a step daughter, Andrea L. Huckaby of Winchester; a brother, Tommy J. Nelson of Union City, Ohio; two sisters, Penney Music of Mt. Airy, N.C., and Rosemary Farmer (husband, Ed) of Ocala, Fla.; five grandchildren, Emily, Mercades, Hunter, RyAnn and Rabekah; and a very special friend of 30 years, Joann Deal of Union City, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Mike and Terry Nelson; and a stepfather, Lloyd McCombs.
A service to celebrate Linda's life is 1 p.m. Monday, April 22 at Fraze-Brooks Memorial Chapel, Union City, Ind. Burial will follow at Snell Cemetery, Union City, Ohio.
