James Deniston Obituary

James F. Deniston, 83, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away Friday evening, June 1, 2012 at Wayne Healthcare in Greenville.
He was born October 15, 1928 in Union City, OH, son of the late Franklin James and Kathryn (Medlam) Deniston. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a grandson, Joshua; a brother, Joe Deniston; and a sister, Mary Cahill.
Jim was retired after 30 years of service in the US Air Force. He then had worked for the next 10 years at Case Power and Equipment formerly in Greenville. He was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greenville.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Luella M. (Braun) Deniston, whom he married November 27, 1954; children, Edward Deniston of Westland, MI, Barbara Tobias of Greenville, and Michael Deniston of Greenville; grandchildren, Tricia, Kia, Chris, and Jamie; great grandchildren, Kila, Kara, Jasmine, Savannah, Emmalyn, Conner, and Madison; brothers and sisters, Ed Deniston of Miamisburg, Candy Cross of Winchester, IN, John Deniston of Nebraska, Evelyn Grow, of Union City, OH, Ann Consillio of Palm Bay, FL, Sara VanSkyack of Fortville, and Patsy Sheets of Greenville; and numerous nieces and nephews
Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, June 6 at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greenville. Burial with full military honors will follow in the St. Mary's Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville on Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. with a prayer service being offered at 4:45 p.m. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to State of the Heart Hospice.
