Barbara Meister

Barbara Ann Meister, of Parker City, passed away late Wednesday evening, June 18, 2014 at her residence with her two loving granddaughters by her side.
She was born in Lebanon to Bill and Francis Spurr. She married the love of her life, Richard, on February 8, 1957. Ann retired in 1993 as an elementary school teacher. She taught a total of 36 years, with 30 of those years being at Monroe Central Elementary. She had received her bachelor's and master's degrees in elementary education from Ball State University, Muncie.
She was a member of Parker City United Methodist Church, the Indiana State Teachers Association and Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority.
She leaves to cherish her memory two granddaughters, Amanda Marie Meister of Indianapolis and Abby Nicole Link (husband, Doug) of St Louis, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews.
A service to celebrate Ann's life is 10 a.m. Monday at Thornburg Memorial Chapel, Parker City. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery, Windsor.
