Donald E. "Don" McNutt, 62, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away Monday, November 19, 2012 at Indiana University Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis.
He was born December 25, 1949 in Darke County, Ohio, to the late Robert and Lucille (Calvert) NcNutt. He was a graduate of Ansonia High School and served in the U.S. Navy aboard the aircraft carrier, USS Fohrestal, during the Vietnam War. He worked at Fram/Honeywell in Greenville in the maintenance department, retiring after 24 years of service. He was a member of the Ansonia American Legion and attended the Spartanburg Christian Church. Don enjoyed working on gas engines and going to gas engine shows.
Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Marsha E. (Chenoweth) McNutt of Greenville, Ohio; his son, Gary McNutt of Union City, Ind.; his daughter, Kim (husband Donald) Fourman of Ansonia, Ohio; six grandchildren, Darien, Keithie, Katelyn and Dustin Burk, Kayle and Lindsey McNutt; and a sister-in-law, Anita Chenoweth of New York City, N.Y.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a half-sister, Barb Rice.
Funeral services are 11 a.m. Monday at Walker Funeral Home, Winchester, with Ray Ellis officiating. Burial will follow at Spartanburg Cemetery, Spartanburg, with military rites conducted by the Randolph County Honor Guard.
