Elizabeth Anne Taylor, 82

Elizabeth Anne Jaqua Taylor, 82, of Brevard, N.C., passed away Saturday, June 7, 2014 at Memorial Mission Hospital, Asheville, N.C.
She was born in Winchester to the late George W. and Evelyn Jaqua. An avid singer and music lover, she was a graduate of Smith College where she earned her bachelor's degree in music. She was a member of Brevard-Davidson River Presbyterian Church where she sang in the choir for many years. She was also active in numerous choral groups and societies over the years and was a member of D.A.R. (Daughters of the American Revolution).
Survivors include her children, Chip Taylor (wife, Jan) of Audubon, Pa., Stephen J. Taylor (wife, Jackie) of Austin, Texas, Scott Taylor, of Mebane, N.C., David M. Taylor (wife, Caroline) of Chapel Hill, N.C., and daughter, Beth Canady (husband, Larry) of Brevard; six grandchildren, Andrew (wife, Sarah), Caitlyn, Michael (wife, Laura) Blaine, Alexander and Shelby; and several nieces and nephews, including Dr. Anne Rodgers of Hendersonville, N.C.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles C. Taylor; a sister, Marjorie Jaqua Rodgers; and a brother Edwin S. Jaqua.
A memorial service is 3 p.m. Saturday, June 21, 2014, at Brevard-Davidson River Presbyterian Church, with The Rev. Keith Thompson officiating.
