Kenneth Lee Bales, 66, of Parker City, passed away Saturday, September 28, 2013 at Reid Hospital, Richmond, with his family by his side.

He was born November 2, 1946 to Richard M. and Betty (Hardwick) Bales. He honorably served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.
He leaves to cherish his memory his father, Richard "Dick" Bales of Lynn; a sister, Karen Roberts of Perrysburg, Ohio; a daughter, Amber (Tyrone) Davis; a stepdaughter, Peggy Farmer of North Carolina; granddaughters, Samantha Wilson of Parker City and Summer McDaniels of North Carolina; grandsons, Jacob Rogers, Zachary Rogers and Elias Davis, all of Richmond and Micah Farmer of North Carolina; nieces, Tammy (Brett) Smill of Tiffin, Ohio, Kimberly (Scott) Dempsey of Streetsboro, Ohio, Danielle (James) Leggins, Taylor and Ayla Leggins of Seven Hills, Ohio; nephews, Sean Cummings of Toledo, Ohio, Nick Dempsey of Parma, Ohio; and his beloved canine friend, Fred.
A service to celebrate Kenny's life is 11 a.m. Friday at Spartanburg Christian Church, Spartanburg, with Brian Richmond officiating.
