Pamela S. Peterson, 64, of Winchester, passed away Saturday, November 30, 2013 at St. Vincent Randolph Hospital, Winchester.

She was born August 30, 1949 in Indianapolis to the late Donald E. and Nadine J. (Donovan) Perin. She was a graduate of Howe High School in Indianapolis and received her Bachelor's Degree from Ball State University and her Master's Degree from Indiana University Purdue University in Indianapolis. Pamela retired after more than 30 years as an elementary teacher from Greenfield Central School Corporation in Greenfield. She was a member of the Indiana Retired Teacher's Association, the Alpha Chi Omega Sorority, the American Business Women's Association (ABWA), the Tri Kappa Sorority in Winchester, the Randolph County Literacy Coalition, and the Y's Owls. Pamela enjoyed gardening, scrapbooking and bowling.
Survivors include her daughter, Katie (husband Ryan) Barker of Winchester; a grandson, Mason Barker; a granddaughter, Molly Barker, both of Winchester; two aunts, Rosemary Brown of Winterhaven, Fla., and Lila (husband Sam) Burrell of Leesburg, Fla.
Funeral services are 6 p.m. Friday at Walker Funeral Home, Winchester, with Pastor Danny Hines officiating.
