Robert Hunt, 87

Robert C. Hunt, 87, of Winchester, passed away Monday, July 28, 2014 at Pine Knoll Rehabilitation Centre, Winchester.
He was born May 17, 1927 in Farmersburg to the late Herbert and Eva (McGlone) Hunt. Robert moved to Randolph County in 1943 at the age of 16. He had only one job in his lifetime, being employed as a mold maker for Anchor Glass for 40 years before retiring in 1983. Robert served with the United States Navy during W.W. II. He attended Main St. Christian Church and was a 50-year member of the Winchester Lions Club.
His hobbies included fishing and woodworking. Robert took great pride in eating and sharing his Hershey Kisses, so much so that his sons referred to their dad as "Hershey Chocolates All Time BEST Customer."
Survivors include two sons, Sherman (wife Nancy) Hunt and Shawn D. Hunt; and two grandsons, Seth and Sam Hunt.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Martha (Weist) Hunt; his parents, Herbert and Eva Hunt; five sisters, Juanita, Katherine, Helen, Doris and Betty Rose; and six brothers, Forest, Mervin J., Donald, Paul, Gerald and Ted.
Oswalt Family Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, Winchester, is in charge of private services for the Hunt family.
