Rosalie L. Prichard, 75, of Lynn, passed away Monday, February 3, 2014 surrounded by her family.
She was born July 4, 1938 in South Bend to the late Melvin and Minnie Fleck. She graduated from Mishawaka High School and Indiana University and married Lawrence E. Prichard Dec. 27, 1960 in Mishawaka. They were married for 53 years, one month and one week. She worked as a teacher for Randolph Southern Schools for 33 years. She was a member of the Spartanburg United Methodist Church and the Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority-Alpha Omicron Chapter. She also was an amateur Radio operator KA9QKN and held a Master's Degree in elementary education from Ball State University.
Survivors include her husband, Larry; their son, Brad and his wife Robin, and their children, Miranda, Kayla and Vanessa (Christopher Ross) and great granddaughter, Leila; their daughter, Elizabeth Smith and her daughters, Oriana and Ivy Smith; her sister, Phyllis (Ralph Pratt) and family, her three brothers, Don Fleck and family; Ray (Vickie) Fleck and family, Darryl (Cheryl) Fleck and family; and her beloved church family, Kay and Steve Brown and their children, TJ, Faith & Hope.
Rose was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son; and a sister-in-law, Opal Fleck.
Funeral services are 1 p.m. Friday at Spartanburg United Methodist Church, Spartanburg, with Pastor David Cassity officiating. Burial will follow at Spartanburg Cemetery.
